About The Event
In order to fully benefit from psychotherapy, we need to feel safe in our bodies and surroundings. Without a sense of safety, our survival instincts activate and our attention remains fixed in fight, flight or freeze responses. Drawing on foundational skills from Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Yoga, this 8 week program offers body based skills to: manage stress , identify and regulate triggered states , calm the nervous system . This workshop includes some gentle mindful movement.
